Our facilities are modern, advanced and designed to grow high-quality cannabis and hemp. Subject to construction and licensing of all planned facilities, our worldwide capacity is expected to be approximately 95 million grams by the end of 2020, helping us satisfy increasing global demand and fast-evolving supply chains.

Our flagship facility is primarily focused on growing craft cannabis at scale for the Canadian market. We use purpose-built modular rooms for the cultivation of high-quality, small-batch cannabis, optimizing the light, temperature and humidity of each “pod” for the specific strain being grown. By late 2020, the Olds facility is expected to produce approximately 60 million grams of cannabis annually.
Our original facility in Rocky View has been transformed into an advanced research and development operation where we test new cultivars with different nutrients, lighting and other growing conditions. Once the testing is complete, we select the best cultivars and send them to our facility in Olds, where we grow the plants and add them to our product line. Rocky View also holds a licence for processing and sales, and we perform all final quality assurance, packaging and shipment of products from here.
In January 2019, Sundial purchased 20 acres of land zoned for cannabis production in the industrial park on the north side of the City of Merritt, B.C. Construction on the first phase of the facility began in Spring 2019. Product grown at our Merritt facility, including our BC WeedCo. brand, will be sold to the B.C. Liquor Distribution Branch for sale to consumers in British Columbia.
